The State of Florida provides scholarships for dependent children and spouses of Florida veterans or servicemembers who died as a result of service-connected injuries, diseases, or disabilities sustained while on active duty or who have been certified by the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs as having service-connected 100% total and permanent disabilities. The Florida Department of Veterans Affairs will certify the official status of veterans or servicemembers.
Application:
Applicants must submit a completed, error free Florida Financial Aid Application by April 1. They must also ensure that the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs certifies the applicant’s eligibility.
