If you were unable to attend our presentation or would like to revisit the Financial Aid Petitions presentation, a recording is below. The presentation is also available on https://www.sfa.ufl.edu/resources/videos/the SFA videos webpage.

We know that the past year has held many challenges and that you and your family may have experienced changes in your household or financial situation.  We are here to assist you in meeting your changing financial needs.

If you have not already done so, complete your 2022-2023 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) immediately at https://studentaid.gov/fafsaStudentAid.gov.  Not sure if you are eligible to complete a FAFSA? https://studentaid.gov/understand-aid/eligibilityFind out more about FAFSA eligibility.

If you have completed the FAFSA, but feel that it does not accurately reflect your family’s circumstances, we can help you complete a petition.  Petitions enable us to re-evaluate your situation for reasons such as

  • loss of income due to decreased work hours or wages;
  • loss of employment;
  • divorce or death of a parent or spouse; or
  • other events that changed your household structure or finances.
