Aid-a-Gator is the University of Florida’s emergency funding program designed to provide limited assistance to UF students, faculty and staff who are experiencing a temporary financial hardship due to the hurricane and its aftermath.

If students are experiencing any financial-aid related issues or concerns related to direct impact of the hurricane, please contact the Office for Student Financial Affairs to discuss financial aid options that might be available to assist. An for the UF Student Aid-a-Gator program is available.

Funds from Aid-a-Gator are intended to be a grant, not a loan, to help our students, who have been hardest hit by the storm and its aftermath. Aid-a-Gator grants can range from $100 to $1500, with documentation.

If you have applied for financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and financial need has been determined for you, your eligibility for financial aid may be reevaluated, based on your special circumstances.

SFA can be reached by telephone at (352) 392-1275 or if you are in the Gainesville area and are able to come in, the office is located in S107 Criser Hall and is open from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday-Friday.
