The Deb Richard Foundation scholarship is a competitively awarded program that is available to undergraduate students with physical disabilities who enroll at the University of Florida.
The amount of each scholarship award will vary according to established criteria. The scholarship award may be used to cover the cost of tuition, fees, room and board, books, and auxiliary aids. Scholarships are renewable for a maximum of 10 semesters, provided the recipient makes satisfactory academic progress toward a degree and meets minimum performance requirements (a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale). Scholarship recipients must enroll for a minimum of nine credit hours each semester. Refer to the DSO website for application information and due dates. The scholarship is not need-based and is highly competitive.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
The Foundation awards scholarships in three categories of students in an accredited degree program: Incoming freshman, undergraduate students and graduate/professional students. Please note that this scholarship is only available for US-Based applicants.

$20,000 SCHOLARSHIP
Since 1970, the Diversity Advancement Scholarship has been awarded to help build a pipeline of architects so that the profession better reflects the diverse communities they serve. Architects Foundation is working to attract, inspire and invest in the next generation of the profession and we can help fund your college education with a multiyear scholarship of up to $20,000.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

- A high school student planning to enroll in a NAAB-accredited architecture degree program;
- A rising second-year college student in a NAAB-accredited architecture degree program; or,
- A technical school or community college student who has completed high school or its equivalent and intends to transfer to a NAAB-accredited architecture program.
HOW TO APPLY:
Applicants must submit:
- A comprehensive essay that tells us how you see the potential of architecture to improve communities and how this influences your passion for becoming an architect. Be sure to include examples of how your current involvement or past experiences and how you see the possibilities for shaping your path forward in service to society through architecture. (1,200 words)
- A professional resume
- Two letters of recommendation
- A portfolio (3-5 creative works, do not have to be architecture-specific)
