CDM Smith Fellowship Award:
\nTo support the ongoing growth and development of the consulting and engineering industry, CDM Smith has developed a continued partnership with the University of Florida and their College of Engineering. A major part of this partnership is our annual fellowship award administered by the Engineering School of Sustainable Infrastructure and Environment. This fellowship was endowed and established by former CDM Smith CEO Thomas D. Furman, Jr. His long standing history with the University was the foundation of a partnership that would grow in years to come. Thomas Furman received both his Bachelor\u2019s and Master\u2019s in engineering degrees from the University of Florida. His father, Thomas Furman, was also a professor within the College of Engineering from 1950 to1980. The CDM Fellowship is awarded to one selected student who has exhibited academic excellence within the field of engineering and who is planning to further their education by pursuing, or is currently pursuing, a Master\u2019s Degree. The recipient of the award each year is awarded $8,000 in addition to a teaching assistantship. With this award, CDM Smith hopes to foster the education and career opportunities of our industry’s future leaders.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
