As a young man, he had to work constantly to support his family. He failed in business, was engaged to be married but lost his fianc\u00e9 to typhoid. He suffered a breakdown and had to be hospitalized for an extended period of time, and he was defeated in several political races. In spite of all this, Lincoln persevered and ultimately succeeded. He became one of the greatest Presidents in the history of the United States.<\/p>\n
