Rosewood Family

The Rosewood Scholarship is a need-based scholarship that provides assistance for up to 50 minority students to attend a state university. Direct descendants of African-American Rosewood families affected by the incidents of January 1923 receive priority for awards.

Application:

Applicants must complete and submit the Florida Financial Aid Application by April 1 and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the U.S. Department of Education in time to be processed by May 15.

Value:

Tuition and fees for 15 semester hours per term of undergraduate study, not to exceed $6,100 or the amount established in the General Appropriations Act, whichever is less; awards are prorated if funds are insufficient to provide the maximum award to 50 recipients.
