    Optional Expenses

    The following expenses will give you an idea of the types of costs you should consider when making up a budget. *Due to early printing, figures are subject to change.

    1. *UF Parking Decal:
      $47 per semester; $94 per year (three semesters). Motorcycle–$24 per year; $12 per semester. (03-04 Rates)
    2. Refrigerator Rental:
      Small (3.0 cu. ft.)–$60 for a year; large (5.0 cu. ft.)–$70 for a year; Combination Unit (fridge/freezer/ microwave)–$170; $25 deposits.
    3. Laundry:
      $.75 for washer (26 minutes) and $.75 for dryer (46 minutes) per load in Residence Halls.
    4. Residence Hall Activities:
      free check cashing in the area government offices, equipment checkout (vacuum cleaners, blenders, etc.), and residence area social activities such as movies, concerts, and barbeques, with activity card.
    5. Campus Bus/Regional Transit:
      free with Gator One Card.
    6. Athletic events with no season pass:
      Football, $7 for UF students per event; basketball, free with UFID.
    7. Athletic events with a season pass:
      Football, $42 per season; basketball, free with a UFID.
    8. Homecoming:
      with season pass, $7 for students, $22 for student guests; Growl, $12 for students; $16 for student guests.
    9. Theaters:
      $30/semester (six at local theaters; JWRU movies, $3.00 with UFID); Constans Theatre: $8.00 for students with Gator One IDs; Hippodrome State Theatre productions: Flex passes $65-120 or $12–16 per show w/UFID, Sunday–Tuesday movies $6.00 (Sunday and Tuesday matinees $4.00).
    10. Munchies:
      (pizza, ice cream, vending machines): $20/week.
    11. Recreation:
      O'Connell Center: basketball/pool/squash and racquetball courts/weight-room: free. Student Recreation & Facility Center and Southwest Recreation Facility: free. Residence hall recreation facilities: free. Reitz Union Games Area: bowling, before 6:00 p.m. $1.50, after $2.25, shoe rental free before 6:00 p.m., then $1.50; billiards/pool, $3.00/hour before 6:00 p.m., after $4.50; foosball $1.50 hour; video arcade, $.50-$1.00 per game.
    12. Parking Tickets:
      $7–$250 per violation; towing and impounding, up to $30 plus amount owed in tickets.
