UF Endowed Scholarships and Fellowships
The following endowed scholarships and fellowships are administered by the UF Foundation. For information, check with the departmental contact person or the Foundation Web site.
- Robert J. and Jane H. Barben Family Scholarship/Fellowship
Eligibility: students majoring in food science and human nutrition.
Value: varies - Branan Scholarship Fund
Eligibility: students with majors in agronomy, soil sciences, environmental horticulture, horticulture, and food and resource economics.
Value: $1,000 - J. Milton Brownlee Agricultural Marketing Scholarship
Eligibility: students whose home residence was in a rural area and who have completed a second agricultural marketing course and enrolled in a third.

Eligibility: high school graduates from Central Florida (Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole or Volusia Counties); awarded on the basis of scholarship and leadership.

Established by Coca Cola to assist students pursuing a career in citrus production.
Eligibility: priority to horticultural sciences majors; agronomy, soil and water science, agricultural and biological engineering, entomology, and nematology majors also considered; demonstrated potential.

Eligibility: outstanding achievement in academic pursuits; financial need, leadership ability, professional potential and academic merit; must be a poultry science major from a Florida high school who has participated in FFA or 4-H; consideration is given to foreign students.

Eligibility: CALS students; based on merit, leadership, and potential or current contributions to diversity in the student body and society.

Eligibility: students from Florida farms and rural areas pursuing agricultural degrees at remote, off-campus locations.

Eligibility: premiere juniors and seniors enrolled in the college who are outstanding leaders academically and in organizations; based on GPA, leadership ability, service and extracurricular activities; continued eligibility in graduate school depends on remaining at UF and IFAS (eligible graduate students must submit an application).

Eligibility: CALS students; recipients selected by the College Honors and Awards Committee on the basis of academic merit, leadership contributions, and potential, as well as current or potential contributions to diversity within the student body and society; diversity factors considered include: contributions to continuation of a diverse student body and pluralistic society; sensitivity and understanding of society and campus racial, social, and ethnic issues; and capacity to communicate across the social lines of race, gender, geography, generation, and class.

Eligibility: food science and human nutrition, food and resource economic, and animal science undergraduate majors; first preference to students from Florida High Schools; second preference to students from Bahama, the Turks, and Caicos Island, or Caribbean Islands.

Eligibility: juniors and seniors in agriculture who are involved in extracurricular activities.

Eligibility: students majoring in horticulture who are from Duval, St. Johns, Clay, Baker, Nassau, Putnam, Alachua, Bradford, Volusia, or Flagler counties.

Eligibility: Manatee County residents or high school graduates who are or will be agriculture or landscape architecture majors and who show academic competence, character, and leadership potential.

Eligibility: (1) CALS junior, senior, and graduate students with a minimum 3.0 GPA; (2) CALS junior, senior, and graduate students with a minimum 3.0 GPA participating in a legislative internship.

Eligibility: CALS students in a true agriculture major from Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Polk, Lake, Sumter, Orange, Osceola, Volusia, Brevard, or Seminole counties.

Eligibility: CALS students in a true agriculture major from Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Columbia, Dixie, Duval, Flagler, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy, Marion, Nassau, Putnam, or St. Johns Suvanee Union counties.

Eligibility: CALS students in a true agriculture major from Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, Okeechobee, Palm Beach, Broward, Dade, or Monroe counties.

Eligibility: students in a traditional agriculture major who are residents of Manatee, Sarasota, Collier, Lee, Charlotte, Glades, Hendry, DeSoto, Hardee, or Highlands counties; and who have financial need.

Eligibility: first-year CALS students from an agricultural producer family who are Florida residents; prefer two years in FFA or 4-H.
Value: $600-$800 - Staplcotn Scholarship
Eligibility: CALS students who are Florida residents; priority to students from families farming cotton or connected to the cotton industry; agricultural and biological engineering, agronomy, entomology and nematology, food and resource economics, horticultural sciences, plant pathology, or soil and water science majors.
Value: $1,000 - Tobacco Farmers Scholarship Fund
Eligibility: undergraduate students who are the children or grandchildren of tobacco farmers.
