UF Endowed Scholarships and Fellowships
The following endowed scholarships and fellowships are administered by the UF Foundation. For information, check with the departmental contact person or the Foundation Web site.
- Angel Dogs Scholarship
Eligibility: senior DVM students with financial need who demonstrate interest in small animal practice and show high sensitivity toward the human/animal bond.
Value: $500 - Aviary and Cage Bird Society of South Florida Scholarship, www.feathers.org
Eligibility: senior veterinary students who are legal residents of Florida and interested in avian medicine; recipients must make contact with the club and visit a meeting.
Value: $1,000 - Mark S. Bloomberg Memorial Scholarship Fund
Eligibility: seniors who demonstrate impeccable character during professional training and strong service commitment to organized veterinary medicine, who are accepted into a clinical internship or residency program, and who demonstrate financial need.
Value: $1,000-$3,000 - Calder Race Course Scholarship Fund
Eligibility: entering senior who demonstrates excellence in knowledge and treatment of horses. Preference is granted to students interested in working in the horse racing industry or with other performance horses.

Non-Endowed Scholarships
The UF College of Veterinary Medicine attempts to provide additional assistance via college scholarships and loans. These resources are also very limited and sometimes not available. All awards are based on eligiblity and availability. Scholarships/loans are available only to vetertinary professional students who are currently enrolled full-time in the College of Veterinary Medicine, a U.S. citizen or permanent resident who demonstrate financial need.
The application deadline is April 1st (or next work day if this date falls on a weekend).
