The Fisher School of Accounting administers a number of awards and fellowships each year and nominates students for a variety of externally administered awards. Fellowships are generally awarded to students who intend to enter or have already entered the master’s program. The amounts, number, and source of awards vary annually. Academic performance, particularly in upper-division accounting coursework, is emphasized in selecting recipients. Generally, twenty to forty awards are made in amounts from $2,000 to $3,000. A complete list of awards is maintained in the Fisher School of Accounting office (GER 210). To be considered for these awards and for nomination for externally administered awards, students should complete and submit an Application for Accounting Awards, available at the Fisher School of Accounting office in late fall and early spring. The submission deadline is generally January 15. Announcements of recipients and nominees generally are made in March.
