    Scholarships for Children and Spouses of Deceased or Disabled Veterans

    The State of Florida provides scholarships for dependent children and spouses of Florida veterans or service members who died as a result of service-connected injuries, diseases, or disabilities sustained while on active duty or have been verified by the Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs as having service-connected 100% total and permanent disabilities. The Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs will certify the official status of veterans or service members.

    Application: Applicants must submit a completed (error free) Florida Financial Aid Application by April 1; ensure that the Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs certifies the applicant's eligibility.

    Value: two semesters of annual tuition and fees for up to 132 credit hours at eligible public post-secondary institutions
