University Financial Services (UFS) is Now University Bursar

University Financial Services has a new name: University Bursar.

The name ‘Bursar’ has a long and unique tradition at universities, along with other traditional offices such as Registrar and Provost. The Bursar’s Office typically assesses tuition and fees, disburses student financial aid and collects student debts owed to the university. Currently these duties, as well as many others, are performed by University Financial Services.

Additionally, this name change provides clarity for students, parents and the campus community to help distinguish the University Bursar from other campus departments, some of which offer similar financial services.

As a part of this change, the new website address (URL) is www.fa.ufl.edu/bursar.
