Innovation Academy

Beginning in the Spring of 2013, the University of Florida began an enrollment model known as Innovation Academy. The Innovation Academy (IA) is aimed at creating a small-college experience within the context of a large research university like UF.

IA: Financial Aid Basics

While the basics of financial aid remain the same, IA’s unique calendar and program bring with them several opportunities. IA students can find basic information about financial aid at UF here.

IA: Cost of Attendance

Though the IA cost of attendance is adjusted to fit a Spring-Summer calendar, it is generally the same as that of traditional UF students. Tuition cost, for example, is the same.

IA & Florida Bright Futures

The Florida Legislature has allowed IA students to receive Bright Futures disbursements during summer terms, provided they have not used Bright Futures funding during Fall terms. IA students are the only students in the state to receive Bright Futures during the summer.
