The Florida Prepaid College Program is a program through which families
prepay for their child's education at a guaranteed fixed rate. It is guaranteed
by the State of Florida.
The State of Florida automatically notifies UF if you are participating
in the plan.
You do not need to bring your Florida Prepaid cards to University
Financial Services (UFS) to verify participation. UFS bills the Florida
Prepaid Program for the state portion of tuition if you are enrolled
in the program and automatically credits their tuition accounts.
Please note: fees are not covered unless you have purchased the FL Prepaid Fees Plan. You are responsible for
paying your fees (Activity and Service, Athletic, and Health) before
the payment deadline to avoid a $100 late payment fee.
You should complete an Additional Aid Form to notify SFA
of your participation in the program.
If you do not want the Florida Prepaid College Program billed, OR
if you drop or add a class after the drop/add deadline, you must contact
UFS's Scholarship Department, S-108 Criser Hall, before the fee payment
deadline.
